In December 2004, Michael Evans came to Mendoza for a long weekend of wine tasting and he never left. The magic and majesty of Mendoza, along with the chance meeting of co-founder Pablo Gimenez Riili, resulted in the creation of The Vines of Mendoza in the Spring of 2005.

In November 2005, we launched our first foray into the wine business: the Acequia Wine Clubs. Four times a year, we deliver Argentina's best boutique wines directly to your door—handpicked top quality wines that are otherwise nearly impossible to find outside of Argentina.

One year after the launch of the Acequia Wine Clubs, we opened the Vines of Mendoza Tasting Room in the heart of Mendoza city. It is the first space in Argentina dedicated entirely to showcasing Argentine wines. By flight or by glass, wine lovers can enjoy the best boutique wines Argentina has to offer in an intimate setting -- and even blend their own wines in our blending lab if they desire.

In June 2006, we began our first phase of Private Vineyard Estates in the breathtaking Uco Valley. People from all over the world can now make their winemaking dreams a reality by owning private vineyards on some of the best terroir in the world. We currently have more than 100 owners from all over the world.

Private Vineyard Estates come fully serviced, but owners can get their hands dirty in wine production as much or as little as they like - from planting to harvesting to bottling. This provides an easy and manageable way for owners to make their very own top quality Argentine wines, working side by side with some of the best wine and most well known experts in the Mendoza's Uco Valley -- one of the best winemaking regions in the world.

In March, 2011, The Vines broke ground on The Vines Resort & Spa, which will be a luxury boutique hotel with opportunities for Villa ownership and rental, opening to the public in 2013.

Through all of these efforts, The Vines is committed to providing the best wine and wine experiences that Mendoza has to offer.
