Last weekend Jean Paul Bondoux, prestigious chef and creator of the restaurant ‘La Bourgogne’, delighted us in a very special evening: La Noche de los Chefs at Diplomatic Hotel.
I had the chance to work for Jean Paul at La Bourgogne in Vistalba, Mendoza, and in Punta del Este, Uruguay. He is not only one of the most talented chefs I have met but also he holds a disarming frankness, true convictions and principles. He considers himself ‘a child’, a dreamer and his energy is appreciated in his exquisite recipes!
Gastronomy in Mendoza has definitely changed remarkably in the last 5 years. Jean Paul and Federico Ziegler have played an important role in this amazing change. In this special evening, we enjoyed a five course dinner with wines from 5 of the most important wineries from Mendoza. Just one word… Superb.
