Achával-Ferrer, his winery in Mendoza, boasts four of the five highest rated wines in Argentine history, as judged by Wine Spectator, and the highest rated Argentine wine to date according to Robert Parker. He recently received 98 points for his 2004 Finca Altamira Malbec and 97 points for his 2004 Finca Bellavista Malbec from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.
DIEGO REINA- Vineyard ManagerDiego comes from one of the oldest winemaking families in Argentina and was the agricultural director overseeing La Rural and Rutini's 600 acres of vineyards before his family sold the business in 1999. Since then, he has helped build vineyards for projects including J. & F. Lurton, LaGarde and many others.
ROB LAWSON- Winery Operations AdvisorRob is the consulting winemaker at Napa Wine Company where, until recently, he was also CEO for six years. Under his management, famous Napa Valley cult wines such as Colgin, Staglin and Bryant Family were made there. Rob brings his experience working in a single winery with 75 different demanding clients, each with its own unique style and unyielding commitment to quality, to help us design and operate our winery and to achieve the individual winemaking desires of each of our owners.
