Michael co-founded The Vines of Mendoza in 2004 with a vision to transform the way people experience wine, travel, and connection. Since then, he has led the company’s growth from a bold idea into a thriving global community of vineyard owners, travelers, and wine lovers. Today, Michael continues to drive the vision and expansion of The Vines, with a focus on The Vines Resort & Spa, The Vines Global, and The Vines Foundation.

Before planting roots in Mendoza, Michael built a career in politics and public affairs, serving as Executive Director of CTIA – The Foundation for the Wireless Association, and working on several U.S. Presidential campaigns from Bill Clinton through John Kerry. A passionate traveler and photographer, Michael is rarely without a camera or a passport. His wines—Uco’s Playground—are a reflection of his love for adventure, creativity, and the land he now calls home.

Born in Buenos Aires and now proudly rooted in Mendoza, Carla brings a global perspective and a deep appreciation for community to her role at The Vines. She spent nearly 15 years at IBM, where she gained cross-industry experience and led projects across the globe—from China and India to Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

In recent years, Carla has immersed herself in the world of wine, blending her professional expertise with a growing passion for viticulture and hospitality. She is also the proud mother of Dante, and outside of work, she enjoys playing paddle, painting, and reading under the Mendoza sun. Carla is energized by the opportunity to help lead a company that celebrates nature, culture, and the joy of creating something meaningful—surrounded by mountains, sunshine, and great wine.

Bryan Driscoll arrived in Mendoza in 2006 for what was meant to be a one-year pre-business school adventure. Instead, he found his calling and built a lasting career with The Vines of Mendoza. Now a partner and Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Bryan leads international efforts to grow The Vines community. Splitting time between his hometown of Boston and Mendoza, he has helped unite more than 300 vineyard owners from XX countries, cultivating 1,000 acres at the foot of the Andes.

A vineyard owner himself, Bryan produces Pasatiempo wines, a tribute to his grandfather’s belief that the best moments in life are those shared with family and friends. Whether traveling the world or introducing others to Mendoza’s bold, expressive wines—“so robust you feel you can chew them”—he brings passion and purpose to everything he does. And when he’s not on the road, you’ll likely find him cheering on his beloved Boston sports teams.

Duffy arrived in Mendoza in April 2006 after being “temporarily” persuaded by Michael Evans to leave her ten-year commercial litigation practice in Austin, Texas, to help launch The Vines of Mendoza. Her background also includes serving as a logistics specialist on political campaigns at the local, state, and national levels—including two U.S. presidential campaigns. As General Counsel for The Vines, Duffy tackles the legal and business complexities of an international wine enterprise with her trademark mix of creativity and no-nonsense pragmatism.

Today, Duffy lives full-time in Mendoza with her husband, daughters, and dogs. In addition to overseeing client experience and wine delivery, she produces her own label, Estrella Sola (Lone Star), and takes joy in long vineyard asados shared with family and fellow Vines owners.

Gonzalo has been helping bring The Vines of Mendoza vision to life since 2016. With a strong background in hospitality, he spent eight years as General Manager of The Vines Resort & Spa, where he played a key role in shaping the guest experience and operational excellence. Today, as Vice President of Development, Gonzalo leads new initiatives to elevate and expand The Vines, while remaining deeply involved with The Vines Foundation and the broader community.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Gonzalo has called Mendoza home for over a decade, where he lives with his family. A firm believer in the philosophy that true leadership means being of service to others, he brings empathy, dedication, and heart to every project he touches. The one thing he still misses? Attending River Plate matches in person—without question, the best soccer team in Argentina.

Juan has overseen operations at The Vines of Mendoza since 2016, managing key areas including the warehouse, farm, export logistics, purchasing, security, and special projects. With extensive experience in the beverage and wine industries, he previously held positions at Grupo Peñaflor, Bodegas Navarro Correas, Eco de los Andes, and Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes.

A chemical engineer by training, with a postgraduate degree in brewing, Juan brings a results-driven mindset and a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement. Off the clock, he’s a passionate rugby fan—though these days, he enjoys the game from the sidelines.

Fran was previously a Vice President at The Vines of Mendoza, where she managed the development of the Vines Resort & Spa and directed the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Now with The Vines as Director of The Vines Global Membership, Fran will be calling on her extensive background in project management and strategic communications in a variety of industries to ensure that our members’ experiences are of the absolute highest caliber.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Fran currently lives on the beaches of Miami with her Mendocino rescue puppy Jack. She is passionate about giving and volunteers for or sits on the boards of several health and children’s advocacy organizations. She is also an arts junkie, and loves soaking up the culture, whether in her own backyard or while world traveling.
